I would like to move out of my family's house. I have one more year of college left and I thought I could tough through this toxic environment, but I'm not sure I should for my mental health. My parents are getting divorced because dad won't stop cheating but he's the type of person who, if you cross him, will screw you over in an instant (especially if you're his immediate family). I've been doing my best to not end up in the middle but that really isn't going very well. My dad stole my car, left bruises around my neck and will no longer speak to me until I apologize. Anyway, they keep calling the police and my mom is very irritable and hurt, which is understandable, but I'm not sure I can take it. I spent a month in a mental hospital program for my depression at the beginning of the summer. I'm, emotionally, not vulnerable and I really don't think I should be in this environment as much.
